We have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that the relevant laws on data protection and IT security are observed. Below you will find out what information we may collect and how we handle it.

We generally use your personal data to answer your enquiry, process your order or provide you with access to special information or offers. You can voluntarily provide us with your personal data as part of a registration, contact enquiry or similar. Your data will not be transferred to third parties unless your enquiry or the service/product you have requested explicitly provides for this. You will then be informed of this at the appropriate point. If you wish, you can also provide us with personal data via applications that are integrated into our platform (e.g. contact forms or services that require the creation of user accounts). Conditions that deviate from this privacy policy may apply to the use of these applications. We will then explicitly point this out to you in additional data protection clauses. Article 6(1)(b) GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data required for the fulfilment of a contract to which you are a party. Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for the processing of personal data, Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.

It is prohibited to use the contact form or the blog for unlawful or criminal offences. Misconduct will be forwarded by us to the competent authority for further prosecution.

Company divisions on social media portals

Thyssengas maintains websites (so-called channels or fan pages) on the social media portals YouTube, Xing, kununu and LinekdIn. These social media portals are not operated by Thyssengas, but by the service providers YouTube LLC. (USA) and Xing SE (Germany). If you use the contact options to contact us on these social media portals, we will process the data you provide in order to process your request, which is the reason for your contacting us, and to answer your questions.

Through web tracking, the operator of the social media platform may also collect personal data, in particular usage data (e.g. data on usage behaviour, personal relationships, preferences, etc.) and may store it in usage profiles. We would like to point out that in this context, the processing of personal data in countries outside the European Union cannot be ruled out. Use of YouTube

We use the YouTube.com platform to post our own videos and make them publicly accessible. YouTube is a service provided by a third party not affiliated with us, namely YouTube LLC.
Some of our website pages contain links or links to the YouTube service. As a general rule, we are not responsible for the content of linked websites. However, if you follow a link to YouTube, we would like to point out that YouTube stores the data of its users (e.g. personal information, IP address) in accordance with its own data usage guidelines and uses it for business purposes.
The videos are only accessed by clicking on them separately. This technique is also known as "framing". When you call up a relevant (sub)page of our website on which YouTube videos are integrated in this form, a connection to the YouTube servers is established and the content is displayed on the website by notifying your browser.
The integration of YouTube content takes place in "extended data protection mode". This mode is provided by YouTube itself. YouTube ensures that no cookies are initially stored on your device. However, the data mentioned above under "Log files and cookies" is transmitted when the relevant pages are accessed. This also tells us which of our websites you have visited. However, unless you have logged in to YouTube or another Google service (e.g. Google+) before accessing the page or are permanently logged in, this information cannot be assigned to you.
As soon as you start playing an embedded video by clicking on it, YouTube only stores cookies on your device through the extended data protection mode, which do not contain any personally identifiable data, unless you are currently logged in to a Google service. These cookies can be prevented using the appropriate browser settings and extensions.

Newsletter/use of Newsletter2Go

We use Newsletter2Go as software for sending our newsletter. As part of this registration, you agree that the data you enter will be transmitted to Sendinblue GmbH. Please note the data protection regulations and general terms and conditions of Sendinblue GmbH. The data will not be passed on to third parties. An exception exists if there is a legal obligation to pass on the data.

If you subscribe to our company's newsletter, the data in the respective input mask will be transmitted to the controller. When registering for the newsletter, the user's IP address and the date and time of registration are stored. This serves to prevent misuse of the services or the data subject's email address. The data is not passed on to third parties. An exception is made if there is a legal obligation to pass on the data.

The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter. Subscription to the newsletter can be cancelled by the data subject at any time. Consent to the storage of personal data can also be revoked at any time. There is a corresponding link in every newsletter for this purpose.

Our newsletters contain so-called tracking pixels, which enable us to recognise whether and when an email has been opened. In addition, we use individualised links to determine which links the individual recipient has followed. We store this data so that we can optimise our newsletters and offers to the wishes and interests of our subscribers. The data collected in this way is used to send personalised newsletters and offers to the respective recipient. The legal basis for this is your consent given in connection with the newsletter subscription. With the cancellation of the consent to receive the newsletter, the consent to the aforementioned tracking is also revoked.

Use of Mentimeter

Mentimeter is a service provided by a third party not affiliated with us. The data protection responsibility for the data processed by Mentimeter lies exclusively with Mentimeter and is not within the sphere of influence of Thyssengas.

Mentimeter is an interactive presentation platform with which the public can be actively involved. Possible applications include surveys, the possibility to leave comments or the creation of rankings. This can be done anonymously, but participants can enter their e-mail address at the end of surveys, for example, in order to gain access to the results. Organisers can evaluate and export the results after the survey has been carried out. The use of Mentimeter is optional; this means that the event can also be tracked without Mentimeter. If the interaction tool is used, this requires the participants' consent for Mentimeter to use their data.
The provider states that it uses Google ReCaptcha to protect the site from bots and spam. There are also interfaces to Google Analytics.

Mentimeter is a Swedish provider - Mentimeter AB, Tulegatan 11, SE-113 86 Stockholm. The platform is operated on servers of the provider Cloudflare in the USA.

However, this only takes place if there is a legal basis for this in accordance with Article 6 GDPR, usually the legitimate interest of Thyssengas in the publication of relevant information, or your consent. For this purpose, we may also use personal data that we have obtained from publicly accessible sources. You can informally object to this processing at any time vis-à-vis Thyssengas. Your data will be deleted once the purpose has been fulfilled.

Data security

Thyssengas takes precautions to ensure the security of your personal data. Your data is conscientiously protected against loss, destruction, falsification, manipulation and unauthorised access or unauthorised disclosure. The transmission of your data from the Internet is partially unencrypted. As a result, unauthorised access by third parties cannot be completely ruled out.

You have the right to request information from us free of charge at any time about the personal data stored about you and to object to the processing or use of your data, provided this does not contradict the purpose (e.g. contract).
