Connection request
Your timetable for feeding biogas into our gas network.
Out of conviction, we prioritise the integration of biogas plants into our gas network in the interests of the environment and support your project from the initial contact to your first feed-in.
The profitability of your plant begins with professional analyses. We have been involved in the topic of biogas feed-in for some time now and actively support the market development process. We have developed a pilot feed-in system with a modular design, which makes it much easier to adapt to your biogas plant and also saves time.
In order to quickly find a technically and economically optimised solution for your feed-in, we work very closely with you right from the planning phase. We have summarised the individual processes of the respective project phases below in order to show you, as the connectee, the requirements of the Gas Grid Access Ordinance.
Application for grid connection.
So that we can provide you with the crucial information about your project as quickly as possible and support you quickly and reliably with the planning, we need some information about your planned system in advance. You can provide us with this information quickly and easily by downloading the form, filling it in and sending it to us. We will then get in touch with you to coordinate the next steps.
Examination of the connection request.
We want to make the review of your grid connection request as efficient and transparent as possible.
Within one week of receiving your enquiry, we will confirm that the documents you have submitted are complete or inform you of any missing details. Once all the documents have been submitted, you will receive an overview of the required scope of examination within two weeks.
The comprehensive inspection, estimated at around 16,300 euros, includes the planning of all systems and lines required for integration as well as a cost estimate. We are also happy to offer you our assistance in checking the route for the construction of your connection lines to our gas network.
Contracts and realisation schedule.
Thyssengas is obliged by the Gas Network Access Ordinance in Section 33 (7) to provide you with a realisation schedule. Thyssengas will agree the details of this with you as the connectee together with the grid connection contract. In addition, we will conclude a planning and installation contract with you as the connectee. Once the contracts have been concluded, we begin with the detailed planning and issue orders to construct the biogas feed-in plant in accordance with the realisation schedule.
Good for you: We bear part of the investment for the grid connection!
The costs for the grid connection for you as a producer depend on the length of the connection line. Up to a length of one kilometre, your share is capped at 25 percent and a maximum of 250,000 euros. The remaining costs are to be borne by us. If the connection line exceeds the length of one kilometre and is still shorter than ten kilometres, the cost cap no longer applies and you as the subscriber must contribute 25 percent and we 75 percent. From the tenth kilometre onwards, the additional costs are borne entirely by you. We bear all the costs for systems and equipment for odorisation, conditioning and measuring the gas quality (chemical analysis). After completion, the grid connection is the property of Thyssengas.
You will receive the result of the grid connection test no later than three months after payment of 25 per cent of the test costs. We are bound to the offer for three months.
Commissioning.
After integration into our gas network and a few successfully completed test runs, the feed-in of your biogas can go into operation. We guarantee 96 per cent availability of the biogas feed-in plant.
An additional benefit for you: once the feed-in system has been integrated, we will take over the operating costs for it completely!
