Grid connection request
To enable us to process your request quickly and reliably, we will need some information in advance about your planned project. Please use the online form to provide us with the relevant information in accordance with KARLA Gas 2.0. After a preliminary review of your request, we will contact you immediately with regard to the completeness of your information.
Review of the connection request
Once we have received all the necessary information, we will confirm that the document you have submitted is complete. Subsequently, we will check - within a period of 2 months - whether we will be able to provide you with the capacity. Depending on your requirements, we will arrange planning meetings with you, answer any open questions or coordinate with you directly on site at the planned connection point.
The minimum technical requirements (MTR) for grid coupling and grid connection will apply for the implementation of the connection. When reviewing the MTR, please refer to our checklist in the download area. There will be no charge for the review.
Capacity reservation
Immediately after the capacity check, you will receive a written reply from us. If we are able to provide the capacity then, under KARLA Gas 2.0, you will have the option of reserving the capacity. To this end, you will conclude a capacity reservation contract with us and then pay a reservation fee. This fee will subsequently be offset against your capacity bookings. The capacity will then be reserved for you for three years.
Implementation agreement
We will contact you to discuss the technical design of the grid connection and we will set out the details in an implementation agreement. Once this has been signed, we will start planning and constructing the connecting line. Following this, further contracts required for the subsequent commissioning will be signed, such as, the grid connection contract or grid coupling contract. We will conclude the grid access contract for the actual use of the connection either with you or your supplier.
Commissioning
The connection can go into operation as soon as our connecting line is connected to your gas pressure regulating and metering system (PRMS), all contracts have been signed and we have confirmed commissioning. From now on, we will gladly answer any questions you may have during operations.
