The four phases of grid connection describe your timetable to connecting to our grid.

Phase 1:

Grid connection request

To enable us to process your request quickly and reliably, we need same information about your planned project in advance. Please provide us with the relevant information in accordance with KARLA Gas 2.0 using the online form. After checking your request, we will contact you immediately.

Phase 2:

Review of connection request

Once we have received your enquiry, we will confirm that the documents you have submitted are complete or inform you of any details that are still missing. We will then check as quickly as possible whether we can realise the project under your specified conditions. Depending an your requirements, we will arrange coordination meetings with you, answer any open questions or coordinate with you directly on site at the planned connection point.

The minimum technical requirements (TMA) for grid coupling and grid connection apply to the implementation of the connection. When checking the TMA, please refer to our checklist in the download area. There is no charge for the review.

Phase 3:

Capacity reservation

Immediately after the capacity check, you will receive written confirmation from us. If we are able to provide the capacity, you have the option of reserving the capacity in accordance with KARLA Gas 2.0. To do so, you conclude a capacity reservation agreement with us and then pay a reservation fee. This fee will later be offset against your capacity bookings. The capacity will then be reserved for you for three years.

Phase 4:

Implementation agreement

We will contact you to discuss the technical details of the grid connection and set out the details in an implementation agreement. Once this has been signed, we will start planning and constructing the connection line.Subsequently, further necessary contracts for later commissioning will be signed, such as the grid connection or grid coupling contract. We will conclude the grid access contract for the actual use of the connection either with you or your supplier.

Phase 5:

Commissioning

As soon as our connection line is connected to your gas pressure regulator and metering system (GDRM), all contracts have been signed and we confirm commissioning, the connection can go into operation. From now an, we will be happy to answer any questions you may have during operation.
