The Middle Lower Rhine region is also on its way to the H2 future. Many companies in the Krefeld, Neuss and Düsseldorf area would like to switch their energy-intensive processes to hydrogen in the coming years. This makes them potential consumers in the area covered by our H2 network, to whom we would like to provide a fast connection.
The required hydrogen volumes are to flow via the planned border crossing point in Zevenaar (Netherlands) on the one hand, and a connection to the hydrogen cluster of the GET H2 initiative and the north-south corridor between Wilhelmshaven and Cologne is planned on the other. There is also considerable potential for hydrogen power plants and electrolysis sites in the region. In order to intensify cooperation with other players along the H2 value chain, we are involved in the Rhein-Kreis-Neuss/Rhineland hydrogen hub. Because one thing is clear: the development of the required H2 infrastructure will only succeed if we join forces.
