Ruhrtal pipeline project: Transmission system operator Thyssengas carries out final surface restoration in Casparistraße in Uentrop (Arnsberg) - full road closure

In the course of week 9 (week of 24 February 2025), the transmission system operator Thyssengas will be carrying out work on the final restoration of the surface in Casparistraße. The work will result in a full closure of the road over a length of approx. 150 metres from the entrance to the village (coming from Arnsberg) to Dorfstraße. The work will take around two days in total and, according to the current planning status, will be completed by 28 February 2025 at the latest.

Access to the buildings in this area is not guaranteed for the duration of the surface restoration work. The buildings can be reached on foot at any time. Residents in this area will be informed separately. A corresponding diversion route has been signposted.

The planning and implementation of the measures will be carried out in close coordination with representatives of the city of Arnsberg and Straßen.NRW. Thyssengas asks for your understanding for the resulting inconvenience. The measure described is connected with the Ruhr Valley pipeline project.

About the Ruhr Valley pipeline project

Due to increased capacity requirements, Thyssengas GmbH has been expanding its gas transport system in the Wickede / Arnsberg / Meschede region - the so-called Ruhr Valley pipeline - since 2018. The existing pipeline system is being modernised in several construction phases, increasing transport capacity in the process. The Ruhrtal pipeline will supply the downstream networks of the local municipal utilities as well as numerous large consumers such as industrial companies and power plants with gas.

The entire project is scheduled for completion in 2026.
