In the Bentheim-Westmünsterland cluster, in addition to supplying SMEs and distribution grid operators, our planning is focussed in particular on the high-capacity import pipelines for hydrogen. The GET H2 initiative is a fundamental cornerstone of this supply. The partners in the GET H2 initiative are pursuing the goal of establishing the starting point for a nationwide hydrogen infrastructure in north-west Germany and thus making it possible to realise the energy transition. Together with the partners Nowega and OGE, we want to create the first public and non-discriminatory H2 infrastructure to connect the industrial partners bp, Evonik, RWE, RWE Gasstorage West, Salzgitter Flachstahl and thyssenkrupp steel. The aim is to supply the industrial centre of the Ruhr region and other consumers in North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony.

We are involved in several GET H2projects: These include the realisation of the first border crossing point for hydrogen in Vlieghuis (Netherlands) and the new construction of the Dorsten-Hamborn (DoHa) pipeline together with OGE. We want to enable the transport of hydrogen from the Dutch border to Duisburg-Hamborn via the Vlieghuis border crossing point from 2027. The H2 North-South corridor between Wilhelmshaven and Cologne, which we want to realise together with partners, will also be connected to GET H2.
