Transmission system operator Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work in the area of the Marienbrücke bridge in Arnsberg - current status of the work

At the beginning of September 2025, Thyssengas provided information about upcoming pipeline work, some of which is related to the renovation of the Marienbrücke bridge by the city of Arnsberg. The company announced information on the further progress of the construction work.

In the course of the communicated work in the area between Uferstraße 3 and Marienbrücke, it was determined that a change to the planned route of the pipeline would be necessary due to the local conditions found. Search shafts were excavated to check the feasibility. The new route of the pipeline is currently being discussed with representatives of the city of Arnsberg. According to the current planning status, work is expected to continue at the end of January 2026. The start of construction will be communicated separately to the press and local residents. Until work resumes, the roadworks will remain closed and traffic will be able to flow as usual.

The planning and realisation of the measure will be carried out in close coordination with representatives of the city of Arnsberg. The measure described is related to the Ruhr Valley pipeline construction project.
