Update: Transmission system operator Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work in Bahnhofsstraße in Werne

Since Monday, 8 July 2024, the transmission system operator Thyssengas has been carrying out pipeline construction work in Bahnhofstraße at house numbers one and eight in Werne. As a result, Bahnhofstraße is closed on one side and there are traffic disruptions in the area of the construction work. A diversion has been set up and signposted. The work is still progressing according to plan and the existing road layout can be maintained. The work is expected to take a total of eight weeks and will largely take place during the NRW summer holidays. According to current planning, the work will be completed at the beginning of September.

Work on Bahnhofsstraße continues to progress. As construction progresses, it has been determined that the originally planned change to the road layout can be dispensed with. The Bahnhofstraße can still be driven on one side coming from the roundabout due to a one-way street regulation. From the direction of Münsterstraße/Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, Bahnhofstraße is closed on one side and is not passable. The corresponding diversion leads via Münsterstraße, Hansaring and finally ends at the Fürstenhof/Bahnhofsstraße roundabout. The footpath and cycle path on the Werne Adult Education Centre side is also closed. Here it is possible to use the footpath and cycle path opposite.

As it is possible to use steel plates to continue travelling on Bahnhofstraße, it is not necessary to relocate the road closure. Only on individual days may there be further hourly restrictions due to extended construction activities. However, traffic can continue to flow.

The planning and implementation of the measure was carried out in close consultation with representatives of the town of Werne. Thyssengas apologises for any inconvenience caused.
