As part of the construction work, a construction pit will be created at the intersection of Landwehr and Gertrudstraße 4. In the interests of safety, the Alt-Oberhausen district council has authorised the felling of a birch tree in this area in close consultation with the Lower Nature Conservation Authority. The felling will take place on Wednesday, 13 March 2024. Following the construction work and the restoration of the green space, Thyssengas will plant two rock pears in the same place in consultation with Servicebetriebe Oberhausen.

The company will also utilise the synergy effects with the measures already being carried out by the city of Oberhausen in the "Rehmer" street. The road is currently designed as a one-way street due to the construction work already taking place there. Thyssengas GmbH will also be carrying out construction work there from Tuesday, 2 April 2024. These will last approximately five weeks and, according to the current planning status, should be completed at the beginning of May.

The measure will have no impact on the supply of natural gas to the region. All measures will be carried out in close coordination with the Oberhausen service companies, Energieversorgung Oberhausen AG (EVO) and the responsible authorities.
