Transmission system operator Thyssengas is building a new gas pressure regulating and metering station near Alte Dürener Straße in Jülich

From Monday, 14 April 2025, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will be installing a new gas pressure regulation and metering system (GDRM system) in the service road on Alte Dürener Straße, opposite house number 800, south of the Maassenhof estate, in Jülich (Düren district). The new GDRM system will play a central role in the precise monitoring and regulation of gas pressure in the supply networks. By precisely measuring and regulating the gas pressure, the safety of gas distribution can be optimised and the energy efficiency of the entire network system increased. In particular, the system will help to stabilise the gas network, which is crucial for security of supply. According to current planning, the construction of a new GDRM plant will be completed by the end of 2025.

The construction work will result in temporary restrictions for pedestrians and cyclists due to the transport of materials and construction machinery in the immediate vicinity. No road closures are currently planned. The planning and realisation of the GDRM plant will be carried out in close coordination with the representatives of the city of Jülich. Thyssengas asks for your understanding for the resulting inconvenience.
