Thyssengas is carrying out work on Oeventroper Straße and Mescheder Straße in Arnsberg

During the week of 19 October 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will be carrying out further works on Oeventroper Straße, near number 25, and on Mescheder Straße, near number 85. Preparatory work for these two projects will begin as early as Friday, 16 October 2026. The work on Mescheder Straße will result in a half-lane closure of the western carriageway. Traffic will be controlled by a mobile traffic light system and will be able to continue flowing past the construction site. The works will last a total of one week and will be completed on 25 October 2026.

The planning and implementation of this project are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the City of Arnsberg. Thyssengas asks for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused. The project described is part of the Ruhr Valley Pipeline construction project.

About the Ruhrtal Pipeline project

Due to increased capacity requirements, Thyssengas GmbH has been expanding its gas transmission system in the Wickede / Arnsberg / Meschede region – known as the Ruhrtal pipeline – since 2018. The existing pipeline system is being upgraded in several construction phases, thereby increasing its transport capacity. The Ruhr Valley Pipeline supplies gas to the downstream networks of local municipal utilities as well as to numerous large-scale customers such as industrial plants and power stations. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for 2027.
