Thyssengas is carrying out resurfacing work on the street ‘Im Neyl’ in Arnsberg – full closure from 20 July 2026

From Monday, 20 July 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will be carrying out work to complete the resurfacing of the road on ‘Im Neyl’ in Arnsberg. The works will result in a full closure of the section between the junction with Mescheder Straße and Oeventroper Brücke (length approx. 1,000 metres). Residents and emergency vehicles will still be able to access properties in the area described throughout the duration of the works. The works are expected to last a week in total. Appropriate diversion routes will be put in place and signposted.

The planning and implementation of this work are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the City of Arnsberg and Straßen.NRW. Thyssengas asks for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused. The work described is part of the Ruhrtalleitung construction project.

About the Ruhrtalleitung project
Due to increased capacity requirements, Thyssengas GmbH has been expanding its gas transmission system in the Wickede / Arnsberg / Meschede region – known as the Ruhrtal pipeline – since 2018. The existing pipeline system is being renewed in several construction phases, and transport capacity is being increased as part of this work. The Ruhrtal pipeline supplies gas to the downstream networks of local municipal utilities as well as numerous large-scale customers such as industrial plants and power stations. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for 2027.
