Thyssengas is carrying out pipework on the L116 – full closure between Kamphausener Straße and Dürselen

From Monday, 20 April 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will begin maintenance work on a natural gas pipeline in Jüchen. For the duration of the works, the L116 will be completely closed to motorised traffic between the junction with Kamphausener Straße and Dürselen. The footpath and cycle path alongside the road are not affected by the closure. A diversion is signposted and runs in both directions via Wey, Waater Str. (L31), Mülforter Str., Giesenkirchener Str., Mülgaustr. (B230), Duvenstr., Hoemenstr. (B59) and Kamphausener Str. (L116). The works will take around four weeks and are due to be completed in mid-May.
