Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work on Wannestraße in Arnsberg – half of the road will be closed from 16 March 2026.

Starting on Monday, 16 March 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will begin pipeline construction work on Wannestraße in Arnsberg. For the duration of the work, which is expected to take approximately six weeks, half of the road (in the direction of Bruchhausen) will be closed for a length of approximately 50 metres at the intersection of Wannestraße and Sauerlandstraße. Traffic will be able to continue flowing along the construction site and will be regulated by a mobile traffic light system.

In order to keep restrictions on road traffic to a minimum, the half-side road closure will be removed shortly before the Easter holidays so that traffic can flow without restrictions over the Easter holidays. According to the current planning status, the construction site is expected to be completed by the end of April 2026. The planning and implementation of the measure are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the city of Arnsberg. Thyssengas apologises for any inconvenience caused. The measure described is related to the Ruhrtalleitung project.
