Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work on the station premises on Bahnhofstraße in Meschede Freienohl – half of the road will be closed from 23 March 2026

From Monday 23 March 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will commence pipeline construction work on Bahnhofstraße in Meschede Freienohl. The work will take place on the Thyssengas station site. Due to the space required for the works, a half-lane closure of the road (in the direction of Freienohl) will be in place for a length of approximately 50 metres near house number 69; the pavement will also be closed. Traffic will be able to continue flowing past the construction site and will be regulated by a mobile traffic light system. Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite pavement. The works are expected to last approximately four weeks and, according to current plans, the construction site is expected to be completed by mid-April 2026.

The planning and implementation of the works will be carried out in close consultation with representatives of the district and university town of Meschede, as well as Straßen.NRW. Thyssengas apologises for any inconvenience caused. The works described are part of the Ruhrtalleitung project.
