Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work on Kappenberger Damm in Münster

The transmission system operator Thyssengas has been carrying out pipeline construction work on Kappenberger Damm, west of Amelsbüren, since 22 June 2026. This is due to the relocation of the Coesfeld–Rinkerode hydrogen pipeline as part of the culverting of the Dortmund–Ems Canal. At house number 920, the speed limit will be reduced from 70 to 50 km/h for a stretch of around 300 metres. The cycle path is not affected by the works. The works are expected to be completed by mid-August.
