Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work on Brückenplatz in Arnsberg

From Monday, 7 September 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will be carrying out pipeline construction work on ‘Brückenplatz’ (near house number 1) in Arnsberg. The works will take place at two specific points on the pavement in the area described and will result in temporary restrictions on the pavement. Pedestrians will be diverted for the duration of these restrictions. There will also be temporary restrictions on road traffic. The works are expected to last approximately two weeks and will be completed by mid-September 2026.

The planning and implementation of this work will be carried out in close consultation with representatives of the City of Arnsberg. Thyssengas asks for your understanding regarding any inconvenience caused. The work described is part of the Ruhrtalleitung project.

About the Ruhr Valley Pipeline project
Due to increased capacity requirements, Thyssengas GmbH has been expanding its gas transmission system in the Wickede / Arnsberg / Meschede region – known as the Ruhrtal Pipeline – since 2018. The existing pipeline system is being upgraded in several construction phases, thereby increasing its transport capacity. The Ruhr Valley Pipeline supplies gas to the downstream networks of local public utility companies as well as to numerous large-scale customers such as industrial plants and power stations. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for 2027.
