Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work in Jülich – Holunderweg will be completely closed from 8 June 2026

UPDATE: The construction work on Holunderweg, originally announced for the end of April, will now begin on 8 June 2026. The full road closure will also only come into effect at that time. The work is expected to be completed by mid-July. The reason for the change in schedule is additional consultations with the Rurtalbahn railway, which first had to be finalised. From Monday 13 April 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will begin pipeline construction work on Holunderweg in Jülich. The road will be fully closed from 20 April; preparatory work will take place beforehand. Road traffic and adjacent properties will not be affected. The works will take around six weeks and, according to the current schedule, are due to be completed in early June.

This work marks the completion of the pipeline works in Jülich that have been ongoing since 2025 – no further road closures are planned.

The planning and implementation of the works are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the town of Jülich and the relevant authorities. Thyssengas apologises for any inconvenience caused.
