Thyssengas is carrying out pipeline construction work in Duisburg-Walsum – sections of Aldenrader Straße will be closed to traffic in one direction from 11 May 2026

From Monday 11 May 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will begin pipeline construction work on Aldenrader Straße in Duisburg-Walsum. During the works, there will be one-way road closures or lane restrictions in individual sections, implemented in turn. In the first section between Prinz-Eugen-Straße and Breite Straße, a one-way closure with traffic lights will be in place for around 10 weeks. At the same time, in the second section from 18 May 2026, there will be a lane restriction between Neißestraße and Emsstraße for around 10 weeks.

Local residents will be informed separately about the construction work. During each phase of the works, no parking spaces will be available in the affected area. The entire project on Aldenrader Straße will take approximately seven months and, according to the current schedule, is due to be completed by the end of December 2026.

The planning and implementation of the project are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the City of Duisburg and the relevant authorities. Thyssengas asks for your understanding regarding the resulting disruption.
