Thyssengas carries out pipeline construction work in Reken Maria Veen – complete closure of Heideweg from 19 January 2026

Starting on Monday, 19 January 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will begin pipeline work in Reken Maria Veen. The first phase of construction will last around ten weeks and is expected to be completed by the end of March. The work will require the complete closure of Heideweg to motor vehicles between the junction with Waldweg and the intersection with Berge. In addition, Waldweg between Heideweg and the residential area will be closed. Cyclists will initially still be able to use the entire area, but there will be temporary full closures from time to time. Between mid-February and the end of March, the roads will then be closed to cyclists throughout.

In the subsequent phases of the pipeline construction, there will also be further complete closures of the forest path and the "Berge" road in sections. Further information will be published in due course.

The planning and implementation of the measure are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the town of Reken and the relevant authorities. Thyssengas apologises for any inconvenience caused.
