Thyssengas carries out tree felling work in Kamp-Lintfort

On Friday, 27 February 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will be carrying out tree felling work in the vicinity of a natural gas pipeline on Rheurdter Straße (between Bergstraße and Gerade Straße) in Kamp-Lintfort. To this end, half of Rheurdter Straße will be closed during the work. Traffic will be able to continue flowing along the construction site. The work is being carried out in preparation for upcoming maintenance work on the pipeline. Thyssengas will plant six new trees to compensate for the two trees that are being felled.

To ensure the safe and reliable operation of the pipeline in the long term, measures such as these may be necessary: Access to the pipeline must be kept clear so that maintenance work can be carried out at any time. In addition, deep-rooted trees can have a long-term impact on the pipeline running here. For this reason, regular maintenance work is carried out on the protective strip – always based on a prior expert assessment of the vegetation.

The planning and implementation of the measure are carried out in close coordination with representatives of Straßen.NRW and the responsible authorities. Thyssengas apologises for any short-term inconvenience.
