Thyssengas carries out tree felling work in Ennigerloh

On Thursday, 19 February 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will be carrying out tree felling work in the area of a natural gas pipeline on Westkirchener Straße in Ennigerloh. The trees affected are located between the building yard and the railway tracks. No roads or paths will need to be closed. The measure was already planned in the summer of 2025 for the current felling period and is now being implemented as planned. Thyssengas will make compensation payments to the town of Ennigerloh for the trees to be removed in order to support compensatory measures in the region.

To ensure the safe and reliable operation of the pipeline in the long term, measures such as these may be necessary: Access to the pipeline must be kept clear so that maintenance work can be carried out at any time. In addition, deep-rooted trees can have a long-term impact on the pipeline running here. For this reason, regular maintenance work is carried out on the pipeline route – always based on a prior expert assessment of the vegetation.

The planning and implementation of the measure are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the town of Ennigerloh and the relevant authorities. Thyssengas apologises for any short-term inconvenience this may cause.
