Thyssengas carries out pipeline construction work in Overath-Vilkerath – complete closure of Rotter Weg from 9 February 2026

Starting on Monday, 9 February 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will begin pipeline construction work on Rotter Weg in Overath-Vilkerath. During the construction project, there will be a complete closure between the residential area on Rotter Weg and Krombacher Straße, which will affect motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. The adjacent houses on Rotter Weg will remain accessible for the entire duration of the project. Residents will be informed separately about the construction activities. The work will take around three months and, according to current plans, will be completed in mid-May.
