Kappenohl: Utility works are continuingon Kappenohl between Niedereimerstraße and the Hüstener Straße underpass. This will require the road to be completely closed for a stretch of approximately 50 metres. The adjacent houses, shops and businesses will remain accessible for the entire duration of the works.
Habichtshöhe: Pipeline works on Habichtshöhe are taking place over a stretch of approximately 50 metres east of the Berbke. The works will result in a half-width closure of the road.
Uentroper Straße: The utility works on Uentroper Straße are taking place near the junction with Casparistraße on the pavement there, heading towards Bördestraße. For the duration of the works, which will last approximately 6 weeks, the footpath and cycle path running parallel to Uentroper Straße will be closed. A diversion for the footpath and cycle path will be in place via the northern lane of Uentroper Straße. This will result in a half-lane closure of the carriageway for cars. A mobile traffic light system will regulate traffic, which will be able to continue flowing past the construction site.
All three measures described will last approximately six weeks and, according to the current planning schedule, will be completed by the end of June. The planning and implementation of the measures are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the City of Arnsberg. The measures described are part of the Ruhrtalleitung project.
About the Ruhrtalleitung project
Due to increased capacity requirements, ThyssenGas GmbH has been expanding its gas transmission system in the Wickede / Arnsberg / Meschede region – the so-called Ruhrtalleitung – since 2018. The existing pipeline system is being renewed in several construction phases, and transport capacity is being increased as part of this process. The Ruhrtalleitung supplies gas to the downstream networks of the local municipal utilities as well as to numerous large-scale consumers such as industrial plants and power stations. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for 2027.
