Gas transmission system operator Thyssengas is continuing pipeline construction work on Oeventroper Straße in Arnsberg – half of the road will be closed from 20 April 2026

From Monday, 20 April 2026, the transmission system operator Thyssengas will resume pipeline construction work on Oeventroper Straße in Arnsberg. As part of these works, the southbound lane (towards Freienohl) will be closed over a length of approximately 130 metres (between house numbers 33 and 8). Traffic can continue to flow past the construction site and will be regulated by a mobile traffic light system. Access to the houses in the affected area and to Bachstraße remains possible. The street “Raulfs Ufer” can be accessed via “Zur Hünenburg” and “Lindenweg”, and Nordstraße via Kirchstraße, Glashüttenweg and Oemberg. The works are expected to last approximately five weeks and, according to the current schedule, will be completed by the end of May 2026.

The pipeline construction work on Oeventroper Straße will be carried out in several phases up to the Ruhr Bridge and is expected to continue until summer 2026. Once the pipeline construction work has been completed, the road surface will be fully restored. Details of each phase, as well as the final road surface restoration, will be announced in separate press releases.

The planning and implementation of the project are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the City of Arnsberg and Straßen.NRW. The project described is part of the Ruhr Valley Pipeline construction project.
