Extension of pipeline construction work on Duffesheider Weg in Alsdorf

Since the end of August 2025, the transmission system operator Thyssengas has been carrying out work on a natural gas pipeline in Alsdorf. To facilitate the work, Duffesheider Weg between Ottenfelder Allee and Von-Blanckart-Straße has been completely closed. The work was originally scheduled to be completed by the end of January 2026. Due to weather conditions and changes in the construction schedule, the work will now be extended until the end of May. Duffesheider Weg will remain completely closed. Access to all houses in Alsdorf-Duffesheide will remain guaranteed.

Where possible, individual sections will be opened to traffic before the end of the project in May. The planning and implementation of the project are being carried out in close consultation with representatives of the city of Alsdorf and the relevant authorities. Thyssengas apologises for any inconvenience caused.
