1. General information

We, Thyssengas GmbH, process your personal data in accordance with the respective applicable data protection regulations for the purposes listed below.
This data privacy information defines personal data as all information referring to you personally. In particular, this includes contact data as well as other data provided by you within the framwork of the application process. This also includes technical data which are processed during the operation of this website.

3. Purposes and legal basis of the processing

The personal data provided by you will be used by us exclusively for the processing of your application. The legal basis for this is the necessity of the data in order to come to a decision regarding entering into an employment relationship (Section 26 of the new version of the German Federal Data Protection Act).

4. Recipients of the data

Only those who are involved in the application process will gain knowledge of your personal data. All of the employees entrusted with the data processing are obligated to safeguard the confidentiality of your data.

Service providers contracted by Thyssengas GmbH are contractually obligated to comply with the security requirements of data protection legislation. Your data will be stored in Germany exclusively.

We will not transfer your personal data to third parties unless you have consented to the data transfer or we are obligated to transfer the data due to statutory provisions and/or regulatory action or court orders.
If you apply via the web portal then an account will be created in our career portal in which you can view and manage your application.

If you decide to be added to the talent pool, the entire company will be able to access your personal data for potential hiring. The talent pool can be joined by agreeing to a recruiter's invitation or proactively using the contact form.

5. Period of storage and erasure of your data

Your data will be automatically erased within six months after the conclusion of the application process. This shall not apply if statutory provisions bar the erasure, if further storage is necessary for the purposes of evidence or if you have expressly consented to a longer period of storage.

6. Data sources

As a general rule, the information will be collected directly from you yourself within the framework of the application process. Data collection by third parties such as career networks will only occur in exceptional cases and only to the necessary extent.

7. Automated decision-making including profiling

Automated decision-making including profiling is not carried out.

8. Children

Children should not sent any personal data to us without the approval of a parent or guardian. We advise all parents and guardians to teach their children about the safe and responsible handling of personal data online. In any event we will not knowingly collect the personal data of children, use it in any way or disclose it to third parties without authorisation.

9. Log files and cookies

For operational and maintenance purposes, Thyssengas and its service providers can collect files which log the interaction taking place via this application (system logs) or use other personal data (e.g. IP address) for this purpose.
When you visit our website, your web browser automatically transmits files for technical reasons. The following data are stored separately from other data which you may send to us under certain circumstances:

We will be happy to provide you with information about whether and what personal data about you is being stored with us and to whom we may have transferred these data. In accordance with the statutory provisions, you can also exercise the right to obtain the correction, erasure, restriction of processing (blocking for specific purposes) as well as data transmission.

11.2 Right to withdraw consent

If you have granted us separate consent to the processing of your personal data, you can withdraw this consent again at any time. The lawfulness of processing of your data already carried out before the withdrawal will remain unaffected by this.

11.3 Questions or complaints

You have the right to contact a supervisory authority if you have any questions or complaints. The supervisory authority responsible for Thyssengas GmbH is the Landesamt für Informationssicherheit und Datenschutz Nordrhein-Westfalen (North Rhine-Westphalia State Office for Information Security and Data Protection) (www.ldi.nrw.de).
