Use of YouTube
We use the platform “YouTube.com” to upload our own videos and make them publicly accessible. YouTube is an offer from an unaffiliated third party, namely YouTube LLC.
Some pages on our site contain links / hyperlinks to YouTube contents. As a general rule, we are not responsible for the contents of internet sites we link to. If you should follow a link to YouTube, we advise you that YouTube stores and uses user data (e.g. personal information, IP address) for commercial purposes, in accordance with its own data processing guidelines.
The videos are only retrieved when they are clicked on specifically. This is also known as “framing”. If you open a relevant (sub-)page on our website, on which YouTube videos are embedded in this form, a connection is made to the YouTube servers and the content displayed on the webpage by communication with your browser.
The incorporation of YouTube contents takes place in “extended data protection mode”. This mode is provided by YouTube itself. YouTube assures that no cookies will initially be stored on your device. When the relevant pages are opened, however, the data named above in “log files and cookies” is transferred. This includes the transmission of data regarding which of our sites you have visited. As long as you do not log into YouTube or another Google service (e.g. Google+) or are not already logged in before opening the page, this information cannot be assigned to you.
As soon as you start the playback of an embedded video by clicking on it, extended data protection mode will prevent YouTube from storing any cookies on your device that contain personal data, unless you are currently signed into a Google service. These cookies can be prevented by suitable browser settings and extensions.

When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address as well as the date and the time of your registration. By revoking your consent to receive the newsletter, your consent to the above-mentioned tracking is also revoked.

However, this will only be done if there is a legal basis for this in accordance with Article 6 GDPR, generally the legitimate interest of Thyssengas in the publication of relevant information, or your consent. For this purpose we may also use personal data obtained from publicly accessible sources. You can inform Thyssengas of your objection to this processing at any time. Your data will be deleted after the purpose of the processing is fulfilled.

Our own content must be distinguished from the content made available by other providers, for which we cannot assume any responsibility and which we do not adopt as our own. This Privacy Statement therefore does not apply to the websites of other providers, even if they are accessed via links on our website. If you notice any relevant violation, please report it to us. We will remove the link to that site if necessary after checking it.
Your rights
You have the right to request information regarding personal data stored by us about you at any time and at no cost; you also have the right to object to the processing or use of data about you insofar as this does not defeat the given purpose (for example, a contract). In addition, you may assert rights against us to have your personal data blocked, erased or rectified. Feel free to write an email to datenschutz@thyssengas.com or send a letter to the address indicated above if you have any questions, comments, criticisms or suggestions regarding data protection and privacy. Without prejudice to any other judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement.
The rapid development of the Internet has impacts on our privacy policy. Any changes will be announced on this page in due time.
